3 reasons your social media graphics don’t look professional

Are you actively posting on social media, but do your designs not feel professional yet? These tips will give you a new perspective and help you improve your designs. Keep on scrolling...

1: Your text is too close to the edge of the graphic

Give the text some space to breathe. When it's too close to the edge it feels a bit cramped. And in terms of text: Less is more! Especially if your photo is already quite busy.

2: There is no visual hierarchy

Make sure there’s variation in size. Make the word/graphic that you want them to read/see first the biggest. Take a look at the example below. What do you read first?

3: Your text alignment isn’t consistent

Try to stay consistent in your alignment. Either align everything to the right, or center it, or even use a mix. But don’t switch it up in every post. You'll see that your design looks better when the text is properly aligned.
